I am a member of the Elements chapter of Romance Writers of America. Elements writers craft stories of all sorts: mainstream novels, fantasy, women’s fiction (like me) and mysteries. The one thing all of our books have in common is a dash or maybe even a heavy sprinkling of romance. If I were't cutting back on expenses, I'd join. This sounds like a good match for me. Plus, I'd like to support the other non-romance writers in RWA.
SHAUNA, I definitely think Elements would be a good match for you. I understand about cutting back on expenses, but also wanted to let you know that with Elements membership, you get one free elements online workshop per year and an active yahoo loop of other Elements writers.

Hi KIT. I think the suspense chapter has a ton of great resources and workshops. And then there's always that great dessert party they have at Nationals that I attended with a friend once.
